There’s something truly magical about a wedding weekend where family and friends come together to celebrate —not just for a single day, but for an entire experience.

Chelsea and Mike envisioned a wedding that felt like a getaway, an intimate and immersive celebration surrounded by their loved ones, and Chaumette Vineyards and Winery in Ste. Genevieve, MO, provided the perfect setting.

A Weekend of Love and Celebration

With the majority of their guests traveling from out of town, Chelsea and Mike wanted a wedding that was more than just a one-day event. They wanted their guests to relax, explore, and enjoy every moment leading up to the big day. With villas on-site, everyone was able to stay on the property, making for a seamless and stress-free weekend full of special moments.

Thursday: Rehearsal and an Intimate Wine Cellar Dinner

Chelsea and Mike’s wedding weekend officially began on Thursday when their wedding party and closest family members arrived at Chaumette. That evening, we held their rehearsal, ensuring everyone was comfortable with their roles for the big day. Afterward, the couple hosted a private dinner in one of Chaumette’s intimate wine cellars. The candlelit ambiance, the warm glow reflecting off the wooden wine barrels, and the art-adorned stone walls created an unforgettable atmosphere. It was the perfect start to their weekend—a relaxed evening filled with good food, incredible wine, and heartfelt toasts.

Friday: A Day of Leisure and Connection

Originally, Chelsea and Mike had planned a winery tour and an excursion to a nearby tiger sanctuary, but as the weekend drew closer, they decided to embrace the beauty and amenities of Chaumette instead. Guests spent the day lounging by the pool, enjoying the clubhouse, and gathering around fire pits in the evening. To make getting around the expansive property even easier, we arranged for bike and golf cart rentals, allowing guests to explore the vineyards and rolling hills at their leisure. The day was all about soaking in time with loved ones, sipping local wines, and simply enjoying the moment before the excitement of the wedding day.

The Wedding Day: A Stunning Celebration Despite the Rain

Mother Nature had other plans on Saturday, bringing rain that lasted throughout the morning and afternoon. But Chelsea and Mike’s wedding day was nothing short of breathtaking. We quickly implemented the rain plan, moving their ceremony from the open hilltop to the covered patio at Chaumette’s barn. Even with the change, the view remained absolutely stunning—rolling hills, a serene pond, and miles of scenic landscape created an unforgettable backdrop for their vows.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed an indoor cocktail hour. When it was time for dinner, the grand reveal of the reception space was nothing short of spectacular. The space had a vintage elegance, and our talented vendor partners, An Affair to Remember and Styled and Staged, transformed the tablescapes with lush florals and candlelight. Chelsea’s love for white roses was reflected in every floral arrangement, complemented by dramatic black candles that elevated the ambiance.

One of the most memorable moments was the sweetheart table—an absolute dream. Surrounded by a sea of candles on the table, floor, and surrounding space, it was an incredibly romantic surprise for Chelsea and Mike. Seeing their reactions during their private room reveal was one of the highlights of the entire wedding.

Dinner was a delicious, elevated plated meal crafted by Chaumette’s renowned culinary team. Guests enjoyed seasonal flavors and beautifully presented courses that perfectly matched the elegance of the evening.

As dinner transitioned into dancing, the energy in the room skyrocketed thanks to the live band, Vote for Pedro. Their dynamic performance, which included crowd favorites and a few personal requests from the couple, kept the dance floor packed from the very first song. The band's chemistry and talent created an electric atmosphere that had everyone—from grandparents to college friends—up on their feet.

An Unforgettable Afterparty

Guests made their way to the clubhouse for an afterparty on the pool deck. Despite the chilly weather, Chelsea, Mike, and their wedding party decided to take the ultimate plunge—jumping into the pool fully clothed, wedding dress and tux included! After drying off, they continued the festivities, enjoying late-night cocktails and pizza from Chaumette’s kitchen. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable weekend.
